About

Kim Little has been writing fiction for close to twenty years. Publishing it is a more recent development.

Kim writes romantic fiction with explicit intimacy — on the page, on purpose, and where the emotional truth of the story lives. Their work is built on relatable characters, genuine feeling, and the quiet moments where everything shifts.

An educator and intercultural consultant who has lived and worked across Japan and North-East Asia, Kim brings a deep attention to place, language, and the spaces between cultures. Their debut collection, It’s Always Been You, draws on that experience — seven stories of childhood friends becoming lovers, all set in Japan, all grounded in two decades of connection to the country.

Kim lives in South-East Queensland with their partner and two young children, and spends whatever time isn’t claimed by family, work, or writing, trying to keep a collection of Japanese garden plants thriving in the Australian heat. Other constants include cooking, Enya on repeat, and the quiet conviction that Elgar wrote some of the most beautiful music of the twentieth century.
